Dear Parents,
Although we have
just started 2015, the month of February is full of various important
events. We have parent/teacher
conferences, an in-service day, and a national holiday.
Our opportunity
to meet with parents/guardians is very important. We look forward to spending time with each of
you regarding your child. If you do not
attend a conference on Wednesday, February 11th or Thursday, February 12th,
please remember the channels of communication with your child’s teacher (email
or voicemail). Please continue checking
student progress on Infinite Campus (IC).

The Partnership for
Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) is throughout the spring months. The PARCC scores help determine placement in
future classes during the middle and high school years, as well as a reference
point in determining instructional needs and abilities. The PARCC member
states share this fundamental goal: ensuring that every student graduates from
high school prepared for success in college and the workplace. It is extremely important that your
child is in attendance and on time every day of PARCC testing. Please talk with your child about the
importance of PARCC. Many research
studies have indicated student success starts off with a healthy
breakfast. Please make sure your child
has breakfast every morning of testing.
Thank you for
your continued support and involvement with your child’s middle school
experience!
Sincerely,
Susie Wickham
