School-Wide Read-A-Thon

The students and staff of Shadow Ridge Middle School are looking forward to our 2nd annual Read-a-Thon on Thursday, October 31, 2013. Students will be participating in a variety of literacy activities throughout the day. These activities will include various guest readers, literacy games and activities and, most importantly, reading, for which students will be collecting pledges and donations.

Students will be bringing a pledge sheet home on October 10, 2013. Directions for collecting pledges and donations will be included on the pledge sheet.

We are asking students to return pledge sheets and all money/donations to their first core teacher on October 31, 2013.

The top earner from each grade level will be rewarded by becoming “PRINCIPAL FOR HALF A DAY,” while the principal they are replacing (Ms. Wickham, Mrs. Steinberger, Mr. Eipper) will become students for the half day and follow the winning student’s schedule. In addition, the top earner from each grade level will receive a Kindle.

We are looking forward to promoting literacy and raising money to support both technology and the library at Shadow Ridge. Thank you in advance for your support!
